What is Child Abuse
According to GVRC Kenya Child abuse isĀ the act or crime of harming a child physically, sexually or emotionally. It can even be the act of treating a child very badly especially forcing him or her into child labor. This description is also what the constitution of Kenya considers as Child Abuse.
Child Abuse has different aspects there is:
- Physical abuse that is: severe beating, burning, biting, food deprivation and severe pinching.
- Sexual AbuseĀ that is: Oral sex, incest, pornography, anal sex, rape, sodomy, hand jobs, fondling and beastiality
- Emotional abuse tthat is: lack of a social circle, gaslighting, abadonment, neglect.
Child abuse is often presented as “discipline” or “correction” however any action that sends that child into flight or fight mode is not discipline. Its only discipline if it doesn’t: scare, scar, pervert, bully or toture if it does any of this it is no longer discipline its abuse. Children are often harmless and very curious but when abused children easily shut off and stop caring about themselves. They develop tacktics to handle the pain both physical and mental.
